Anna University has decided to introduce new syllabus for all the students who are joining in the upcoming academic years. To generate the employment opportunities for the students University decided to frame the syllabus.Hence, This syllabus is expected come into force by the year 2017-18.

University Official said that, There are 400 staffs working on framing the new syllabus pattern. Every 4 year ones, University used to revised the regulation pattern for all affiliated colleges. Due to lack of Employment Opportunities prevailing across the state, we have decided to revise the pattern. Hence, All subjects for both UG and PG will have new syllabus pattern from next academic year. Officials also added that " Students can choose their elective by their own interest." For instance, If a Civil Engineering Students wish to Study a Electrical Engineering Subject, He can choose that subject as an elective. Candidates have to submit only one application for the Entrance Test for all the above PG Programmes
The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate) as entrance test fee for any one of the Programmes either (1) MBA or (2) MCA or (3) ME/M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan
If a candidate desires to appear for more than one programme, for every additional programme, he/she has to pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) along with the filled-in application

Registration for Entrance Test

The candidates can register for the entrance test in any one of the modes given below
a) Registration in Person

Candidates can appear in person at the Co-coordinating Centers shown under with the following documents:

Hall Ticket should be produced at the time of Entrance Test and also at the time of admission; if the hall ticke is lost after the test, a duplicate hall ticket can be obtained on payment of Rs.100/- in form of a Demand Draft, with a written request to "The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai-600025", including the Registration No/Application No and the name of the Exam Centre

Mark sheets will be despatched to the candidates within 10 days from the date of publication of results of the entrance test to the address given in the application
